Communication Submission Guidelines

Communications will be oral and must pertain to one of the congress’s thematic areas:

  • Euthanasia: an international perspective
  • Rethinking ethics committees
  • Bioethics in AI
  • End-of-life autonomy

The abstracts will be sent to the Bioethics Fundació Grífols UVic-UCC Chair

The abstract submission form will be available until 16 November 2026. An email confirming receipt will be sent to the contact address provided by the author.

The Congress Scientific Committee will review the abstracts within 30 days

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to select a limited number of abstracts, depending on the total number of submissions and the time available in the programme.

Submitted communications must be original

Only communications based on original work that has not been previously published in national or international journals will be accepted.

Abstract format

All abstracts must follow the format below:

  • Title: In title case and bold.
  • Thematic area: Indicate which of the congress’s thematic areas the communication addresses.
  • Authors: Give each author’s first name followed by their surname. Compound surnames should be hyphenated. Separate author names with commas. Do not include professional titles or positions. List the authors’ affiliations below their names, in italics. Contact details: Include a contact address and email address.
  • Content: Introduction, Methodology, Results/Conclusions and Bibliography.
  • Funding: If the work has received funding or a grant, this should be indicated at the end of the abstract.
  • Keywords: A maximum of three (3) words.
  • Abstract: Maximum 350 words, excluding the bibliography.

Presentation Guidelines

Each communication will be allocated eight (8) minutes for oral presentation, followed by time for questions

Oral presentations may contain a maximum of eight (8) slides

Presentations should be delivered by the lead author identified in the submission, unless a change has been notified in advance

The Fundació Grífols UVic-Ucc Bioethics Chair will inform authors of the session in which their communication has been scheduled
