Welcome letter

Dear friends and colleagues,

On behalf of the Fundació Grífols UVic-UCC Chair of Bioethics, we are pleased to invite you to the 4th International Bioethics Congress, to be held in Vic (Barcelona), on 25 and 26 February 2027. Building on the success of the editions held in 2019, 2022 and 2025, this year’s congress will focus on the theme “Bioethics, responsibility and human dignity”.

The congress is structured around four thematic areas, within which communications may be presented:

Euthanasia: an international perspective

Rethinking ethics committees

Bioethics in AI

End-of-life autonomy

The Congress will feature a combination of both keynote lectures and round-table discussions, in a format designed to encourage open debate among experts and other attendees. We hope that the programme will be both engaging and thought-provoking, and that it will inspire active participation, whether through the submission of a communication or by attending the congress.

Cordially,

Núria Terribas

Director of the Fundació Grífols Bioethics Chair at UVic-UCC
